A routine traffic stop on a semi truck led to the discovery of 174 defaced firearms and 368 pounds of heroin in Michigan this week.
The discovery occurred on Interstate 69 near Marshall, Michigan on Thursday, September 24th at around 2 p.m.
According to News Channel 3, Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Officers conducted a traffic stop on the semi truck and soon discovered 92 bundles containing around 167 kilograms, or about 368 pounds, of drugs believed to be heroin. 174 handguns with destroyed serial numbers were also found inside of the tractor trailer.
The truck driver was arrested and is facing drug and weapon related charges. The incident is still under investigation.
