A truck driver has been issued several charges for a multiple fatality crash that occurred in Jay County, Indiana, in February 2026.
On March 19, 2026 Bekzhan Beishekeev, 30, was served an arrest warrant for seven criminal counts, according to the Jay County Prosecutor’s Office located in Portland, Indiana.

- Count 7: Criminal Recklessness, a class A misdemeanor for causing bodily injury to William H.

Beishekeev is detained in the Jay County Security Center.
In Indiana, a level 5 felony is punishable by imprisonment between 1 and 6 years and a maximum $10,000 fine. A level 6 felony is punishable by imprisonment between 6 months and 2 1/2 years and maximum $10,000 fine.
Semi Truck Crash Killed Four In Indiana
Beishekeev was operating a semi truck during a crash that occurred on February 3, 2026, in Jay County, Indiana. Beishekeev was eastbound on S.R. 67 when he allegedly failed to stop for traffic, swerved into the westbound lane, and struck a van transporting six people.
Four of the occupants of the van died in the crash.
Following the crash, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) referred to Beishekeev as a “criminal illegal alien” and place part of the blame for the crash on the state of Pennsylvania for improperly issuing a commercial driver’s license (CDL) to the Kyrgyzstan national.
Federal authorities have placed several carriers tied to the high profile crash “out-of-service” including Beishekeev’s employer AJ Partners. The U.S. Department of Transportation also said that certification had been revoked from “sham school, Aydana, that helped the illegal trucker get a license.”
