reefer temps steady on short hauls

I got a run today, only 60 miles but the temp just kept fluctuating 4-5 degrees. The trailer is maintained regularly so Im wondering if short trips just mess up with air circulation or is it something else?

Short trips can cause temperature fluctuation, especially if the reefer is cycling off more than during longer trips. Make sure you’ve got the right settings for short-haul trips and don’t open the doors too often.
