Freight Contract Negotiation

Negotiating freight contracts are litreally like walking a tightrope, go too soft, and youre leaving money on the table, push too hard and risk losing a customer. Are long term relationships more valuable than squeezing the lowest possible rate everytime?

Long term relationships do win out in most cases. Rates tend to fluctuate according to the market,but if a broker or a shipper believes youre reliable enough theyll keep coming back despite cheaper options being out there
