OALE drug bust

A truck driver faces felony charges after Florida agricultural inspection officers located suspected fentanyl in the cab of his semi truck.

On August 28, 2026, the Florida Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement (OALE) announced the arrest of Joginder Singh, 30, of Bellerose, New York, on felony drug trafficking charges.

Singh was operating a tractor trailer loaded with produce. As he entered Florida, an OALE officer directed him to an agricultural inspection station for a “closer look.”

A canine unit performed a free air sniff around the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside the cab.

When officers searched the truck, they located “a clear bag packed with individually wrapped powder and pressed pills, bearing no markings and showing no signs of coming from a legitimate source.”

OALE said field tests confirmed that the substance was “25 grams of suspected fentanyl,” worth approximately $5,000.

Singh was taken into custody and booked into the Escambia County Jail.

“This bust is a direct result of solid teamwork! Officer Soroka’s sharp instincts, K9 Officer Thomas’s expertise, and good boy K9 Mojo all came together to keep dangerous drugs off our streets,” officials said.

OALE operates 23 agricultural inspection stations strategically located on 19 major roadways at Florida’s entry and exit points.
