ARKANSAS, Little Rock. The Arkansas Trucking Association (ATA) recognized nine professional truck drivers and two technicians with prestigious awards during the 2025 Arkansas Trucking Championship. “What impresses me most about this event is that these drivers and technicians volunteered to participate instead of being required to,” remarked Shannon Newton, president of the ATA. They decided to embrace the limelight and showcase the remarkable talent and expertise they consistently apply in their daily tasks. Observing their skillful and graceful handling of these challenges serves as a reminder of why we take such pride in being part of this industry. Each participant here embodies the dedication of countless professionals throughout Arkansas who prioritize excellence, safety, and community service. 2025 Arkansas Trucking Competition. The written and practical competitions united 140 elite drivers and 42 skilled technicians from the state to showcase their safety awareness, expertise, and abilities. Organized by the ATA, the championship took place on June 27-28 at the Rogers Convention Center in Rogers, Arkansas. During this two-day event, participants demonstrated their abilities through a pre-trip inspection contest, a written test, and performance on a course designed to replicate real-world driving situations.
