According to a report by WTAJ in Altoona, Pennsylvania, traffic on Interstate 80 was interrupted Wednesday morning due to a tractor-trailer unloading mozzarella cheese on the road. The Snow Shoe Fire Company stated that the eastbound lane of I-80 was reduced to one lane while they addressed the situation at mile marker 145.6. Emergency crews were reportedly dispatched at 5:03 a.m. following the response of the Pennsylvania State Police to an accident that involved three tractor-trailers. Snow Shoe Fire reported a debris field stretching 200 yards, with shredded mozzarella cheese spread across the roadway. Another truck involved in the incident was transporting hand wipes. They stated that there were no reported injuries, and hazmat was not required. PennDOT came to the location to handle the situation.
