WASHINGTON — The House approved President Donald Trump’s highly advocated One Big Beautiful Bill Act on Thursday, and it now awaits his signature. Trump is anticipated to sign the bill at 5 p.m. On Friday, the final vote concluded at 218-214, with two Republicans aligning with all Democrats in opposition. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act consists of over 800 pages covering various topics concerning the trucking sector, as noted by the American Trucking Associations. The ATA praised the U.S. House of Representatives for their approval of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and for forwarding it to the president. The new legislation aims to aid the trucking sector by offering long-term tax stability and enhanced options for workforce training, which will help maintain the flow of goods and support the U.S. economy, as stated by the ATA. “The American Trucking Associations appreciates the efforts of Republicans in Congress and President Trump for successfully passing this extensive tax reform package,” commented Chris Spear, the president and CEO of ATA. The vote today offers essential clarity for the trucking sector, which is fundamental to our economy, allowing it to expand and succeed. By enacting this legislation, Congress prevented the most significant tax hike in the history of our country. Both the economy and our supply chain would not have been able to withstand such a disaster.
