On Tuesday morning, June 24th, a careless truck driver almost collided with a house while fleeing from police in Cobb County, Georgia, around 8:30 a.m. As reported by 11 Alive, multiple worried drivers reached out to the police to report a dangerous truck driver behaving recklessly on Dallas Highway. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene and tried to stop the semi truck; however, the driver refused to comply and drove north, eventually turning onto the Ernest Barrett Parkway. At one moment, while attempting to make a left turn, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The semi-truck subsequently collided with an embankment and broke through a fence, halting right before hitting a house. “I heard a considerable amount of traffic and an intense bang.” “I assumed it was just the usual morning congestion on Barrett Parkway,” remarked Jim Boyland, the resident. He mentioned that he was unaware the truck was on his land until the authorities arrived at his residence. “Only the tractor part was in my backyard, just a few inches from my house and our air conditioning unit, along with several police cars,” he told WSB TV. The driver of the truck was transported to a hospital for evaluation, but there were no other reported injuries. The driver is set to face charges for reckless driving. This news comes after an incident where a truck driver nearly crashed into a house while attempting to evade the police, as reported by CDLLife.
