Mack Trucks announced the all-new Mack Granite, a complete makeover of the company’s 25-year veteran workhorse. The announcement was made at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2026 alongside the unveiling of the new Mack Keystone vocational truck.

The front of the Granite features a new stainless steel grille and a three-piece bumper with a common centerpiece that accommodates both center and side tow configurations, plus interchangeable end caps for axle-forward and axle-back positions. Mack says the new ImpactShield windshield offers two times more shatter resistance and five times better scratch resistance than the previous generation.

Mack also managed to increase the cab size by 10% while reducing the bumper-to-back-of-cab measurement by 4 inches. A shortened wheelbase allows for a tighter turning radius.

The Granite comes standard with the new Mack MP13 engine, which now delivers up to 540 horsepower and 1,950 lb.-ft. of torque while improving fuel efficiency by 3%. The engine is mated to the Mack mDRIVE automated manual transmission and is available in 12-, 13-, and 14-speed configurations. Options include a low-reduction creeper gear and a 32:1 ultra-low-speed reduction gear, ideal for precision work like curb pouring and loose soil conditions. As an option, Granite customers can spec a Cummins X10 engine rated from 350–450 horsepower and 1,250–1,650 lb.-ft. of torque with an Allison automatic transmission.

Mack has also added its MaxRide air load-distributing suspension to the all-new Granite. The non-torque-reactive eight-bag system enhances ride quality and load management.

“The all-new Mack Granite embodies everything Mack stands for: legendary durability, uncompromising performance, and a commitment to our customers who depend on these trucks to get the toughest jobs done,” said Stephen Roy, president of Mack Trucks. “We’ve completely reimagined the Granite from the ground up, bringing the same level of innovation we delivered with our Pioneer and Anthem models to the vocational market.”

The same Mack Protect safety suite available on the Mack Pioneer and Anthem on-highway trucks is now available on the Granite and Keystone models. The system includes a front camera, front radar, and 270-degree radar coverage with both passenger-side and driver-side radar systems. The Granite has an electronic park brake with rollaway protection in conjunction with auto-release when shifting into gear. Additional safety features include standard front and available side-curtain airbags, standard LED headlamps, and fog lamps with available cornering lights.

Another Granite safety feature is E911 auto-call, which automatically contacts emergency services when in cellular service range if an airbag deploys or the system detects a rollover or collision.

The Mack Granite will be available for order later this year, with production beginning in 2027. Configurations include day cab and 44-inch sleeper options in both axle-forward and axle-back positions, with multiple front and rear axle ratings to handle specific applications.
