The Iowa State Patrol Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit (ISPCMVU) shared images of multiple equipment violations recently found on a commercial vehicle as a reminder to truckers to “look underneath” as part of their pre-trip inspections.
On Monday, December 29, 2025, ISPCMVU took to social media with a message for the trucking community after a poorly-maintained commercial vehicle passed through an Iowa scale facility.
“This truck was inspected recently at one of our scale facilities,” state troopers said. “These violations serve as a great reminder to not just walk around your equipment, but look underneath as well. You never know what you might find!”
